Stress
Stress is:
- The rate of wear and tear on the body as a
result of anxiety, worry, or exhaustion.
- A hard, difficult or intense experience which could
cause irritation and/or damage to a person's nervous
system.
The Primary Symptoms of Stress:
- Headaches
- Digestive trouble
- Irritability
- Fatigue
- Allergies
- Aches and pains
- Difficulty sleeping
If you have more than one of these stress symptoms,
or you are having that symptom more than once per month,
your body has a stress disorder. If your resistance is
low and your stress is high, you will feel fatigued,
unhealthy and become prone to illness.
Trauma to the spine can create areas of weakness that
will show up with the onset of stress. Some of the most
common causes of spine and nerve damage are auto
accidents, poor posture, birth, falls, sports injuries
and repetitive motion injuries.
Stress overload causes tension and alters your posture
and the shape of your spine. Stress normally attacks
your body in areas that have been weakened or injured in
the past. A person with a damaged neck under stress gets
headaches. A person with a damaged low back under stress
gets back pain, circulation problems, menstrual
problems, or even colitis.
Treatment:
Out main approach is to reduce the harmful effect of
stress by engaging in the following:
- Chiropractic adjustments/Joint mobilization
- Physical Therapy
